Kick Start to Kindergarten is a foundations course to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. Your child (or children) will be taught from my home, located in Seminole, in a two hour block. Parents may remain on location (but not "with" child) or drop them off for class.
Children age 3-4 years learn thru play with teacher-guided instruction. Children will learn independence, self awareness, following directions, standing in line, listening skills, fine motor skills needed for writing, large motor skills for physical fitness, basic shapes and colors, along with letters and sounds, basic counting and calendar math. Each month they will also enjoy a chance to taste new foods, or participate in field trips with each family driving their own vehicle to event.
Skills will be taught using music, art, playdoh, paper work, chalk board, games, stories, cooking and a multitude of other teaching methods. We will use the 5 senses to solidify the concepts being taught.
Kick Start to Kindergarten will bring you back to your kinder-years when learning was all about fun, not FCAT. This is an excellent opportunity for parents who are unable or choose not to place their child in a full preschool environment.
Classes meet 2 times per week for two months. Parents may re-enroll for as many sessions as they like. Spaces are limited with waiting list. Please call now to enroll your child in next available session. Prices are located here.
We are now taking registration for classes that will begin in the Aug 26th. Because we re-introduce skills in a variety of styles, a child may continue the class after his/her first 2 months or join the class during the first week of any 2 month session.
Included in your registration fee, each child will recieve TWO learning packets for each 8wk session. The packets will include items related to our theme unit: One full length music CD, one full color activity book with stickers included, one story book (often hard back copy), one sheet stickers, one activity or project (ie craft, puzzle, or puppet etc).
COST: $200/8 wk session FREE TRIAL WEEKS: Aug 26th or Sept 6 (both Tue and Thur each week)
Class meets each Tue and Thur, 9:30a-10:30a.
